You know, when you read or listen to stories about getting out of debt, you hear the phrase “Gazelle Intense” to describe how motivated you should run away from debt. And it IS motivating!
Some people can’t run like a Gazelle. They’re pulling a wagon. They are a Clydesdale. This happens when you have 7 kids. We don’t have 7, but even three is a lot of mouths to feed. Single mommas, my hats’ off o you – I don’t know how you do it.
But you have to keep moving forward. You have to lean into progress. You have to reach for it and bust it and run like crazy even if your speed is more Clydesdale than Gazelle. What’s the other option?! To get to the end of your life and have nothing?!?! We were Clydesdales for what felt like forever. And then all of the sudden – TODAY – we looked up and we owe less than $96 thousand. That’s a staggering amount – but you know how long we thought we’d owe $160K? We could not see the end. We now see the end, (debt freedom, we are coming for you THIS YEAR!) and if you ask me, this Clydesdale is feeling pretty light-footed these days.
How are you feeling – Gazelle Intense or Clydesdale Intense?
